Carroll McKinley Boswell, 62, of the 4000 block of Shoreline Circle and formerly of Grandy, N.C., died Friday, Sept. 16, 1994.
Mr. Boswell was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Boswell. He was retired from Bowden Chemical Co. after 20 years of service. He was past County Commissioner of the Sanitary District in Grandy, N.C.; past president of Walnut Island Home Owners Association; and a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. Boswell; his mother, Lillie Jackson Boswell of Lynchburg; a son, Gary V. Boswell of Chesapeake; a brother, Wallace E. Boswell Sr. of Bangkok, Thailand; and two grandsons, Shaun Boswell and Kevin Boswell, both of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Grandy, N.C., with the Rev. Lindy Jones officiating. Burial will be in Moyock Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, is in charge of arrangements.
