The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star's INFOLINE audiotext system won two first-place awards this week at a convention in Dallas.
INFOLINE was honored for its overall success and its collateral promotional pieces.
The judging was conducted at the conference of about 100 newspapers and television stations that are part of the CityLine Affiliates Group, the nation's largest network of telephone-information systems.
INFOLINE offers news, weather, sports and other information to callers via Touch-Tone phones. The service fields about 600,000 calls per month.
