The Bob Crostic Benefit Trail Ride will be held today at the Shibui Ni Arabians off U.S. Route 13. All proceeds will benefit Bob Crostic, who has cancer and needs funds to pay medical and household bills while he is unable to work.
The point rider will depart at 7:30 a.m. and guest riders will check with the ride secretary and follow anytime thereafter until 2 p.m. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and must wear a hard hat.
Riders may ride at their own pace behind the point rider but ahead of the drag riders. Trails will be marked with ribbons indicating directions.
Concessions will be available, and prizes, donated by individuals and businesses, will be drawn for registered riders at 2 p.m.
The cost is $15. Register at the ride or mail payment to Bob Crostic Benefit Trail Ride, c/o Joy White, 5071 Mineral Springs Road, Suffolk, Va. 23438. Please make checks payable to Bob Crostic.
