ART FORM OF INSTALLATIONS FASCINATED THIS MAN HE CREATED ``ENVIRONMENTS'' OF PAINTED MUSLIN, WOOD AND FLAGGING TAPE.

He was one of the youngest artists to have a one-man show at the Suffolk Museum. The honor resulted from his win, the year before, at the Suffolk Art League Juried Show.

Our trivia subject chose unusual subjects, specializing in the new art form of installations, which he described as ``the art of taking a space and creating an environment out of it in which the space used is equally as important as the artwork created on the space.''

Got that?

He used painted muslin, wood and flagging tape to create the environments of which he spoke so eloquently.

``The installation often evokes a feeling or emotion in the person viewing it and sometimes will include the viewer in the artwork,'' he said. ``The shapes decide themselves. I just feel my way through it. That's the way I like to do it.''

Our trivia man had been the subject of several articles during his growing-up years. He was constantly doing something for somebody.

On the answer page, there will be an update of the young man's activities. And, of course, there will also be answers to the next five questions.

1. You've been so patient, so the first question will be a cinch. What was the first color movie to win an Oscar for best picture?

2. Can you name the two performers who performed television's first interracial kiss? And, on what show?

3. Who was the comedienne who influenced the styles of Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball and Phyllis Diller? She starred in a popular 1950s series. Her co-star was Jim Backus, best known as the voice of Mr. Magoo and as one of the Gilligan's Island characters - the wealthy dude.

4. One of our 20th century presidents was a speed reader - once clocked at 2,000 words per minute. Hint - he was either a Democrat or Republican.

5. The large panda is related to which smaller animal? MEMO: Please see answers, Page 8
