MARGARET HOAGLAND FILER

Margaret Hoagland Filer, 84, of the 7700 block of Armfield Ave., died Sept. 17, 1994, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Filer was born in Kansas City, Kansas and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Norfolk. Mrs. Filer was a member of Westminster Chapter (NU)99, Order of Eastern Star, Norfolk, a permanent member of Sigma Phi Gamma-International Sorority and a past member of the Norfolk Women's Club.

Survivors include a son, Robert Hoagland Filer, and daughter-in-law, Emily H. Filer of Virginia Beach, three granddaughters, Mary Filer Postlewaite of Rosepine, La., Elizabeth DuVal Filer of Poquoson, Anne Caroline Filer of Norfolk, and three great-granddaughters, Janice, Kaitlyn and Ruth Postlewaite.

A memorial service will be conducted at First Lutheran Church, Norfolk, on September 20, 1994, at 2 p.m. by Dr. James G. Cobb. The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the reception room of the church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to Lee's Friends, 618 Stockley Gardens, Norfolk, Va. 23507 or to the memorial fund of First Lutheran Church.
