Helen Foster Hudgins, a resident of Gloucester Court House, passed away on Aug. 29, 1994, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Hudgins, daughter of Clifford S. and Helen Webb Foster, was a native of Norfolk. She graduated from Maury High School and later attended William and Mary College. She married Harold Hudgins Jr. in 1943, and resided in Norfolk until the Korean War called him to active duty as an Air Force officer. During her years as an Air Force wife, she devoted numerous hours to volunteer work with the American Red Cross as well as numerous charities. She was an active participant in the Langley Officers' Wives Club and an avid supporter of the Gloucester Animal Shelter.
Mrs. Hudgins is survived by two sons, Harold Hudgins III of Madison Ala. and William C. Hudgins of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at Bruton Parish Church, Williamsburg, Va. on Oct. 10, 1994, at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. H. Graham Hudgins, Mrs. Hudgins' Nephew, will lead the services. Internment will be beside her husband in Arlington National Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, all remembrances be made in her name to a favorite charity.
