John B. Etheridge Jr., 83, of Manteo, died Monday, Sept. 19, 1994, in an Elizabeth City hospital.
Mr. Etheridge, a native of Manteo, was a carpenter and a member of the Roanoke Island Baptist Church. He was the son of the late John B. Sr. and Peggy Etheridge Etheridge and the widower of the late Vera Gray Etheridge.
Mr. Etheridge is survived by one daughter, Ann Wescott of Manteo; three sons, John B. Etheridge III, Robert Curtis Etheridge and William David Etheridge, all of Manteo, N.C.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Roanoke Island Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. John Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Roanoke Island Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1271, Manteo, N.C. 27954, or the charity of your choice.
Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is in charge of arrangements.
