Betty C. Vaughan, 72, a homemaker, died Sept. 20, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mrs. Vaughan was born in New York and was a Methodist. She was the widow of William Vaughan.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Messing of Virginia Beach and Judy Thaxton of Greenville, S.C.; a son, Ernest M. Cook Jr. of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, by the Rev. Jay Ashby. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and also requests that memorials be made to the American Lung Association.
