Frank Relph Day Jr., of Smith Ferry Road, Franklin, died Sept. 19, 1994, at the home of his daughter in Cumming, Ga.
He was born in Anniston, Ala., and was the son of Frank Relph and Lucy B. Day. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired from Birdsong Peanut Co. with over 40 years of service. He was a lifetime member of Franklin Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent, Deacon and Treasurer. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Bradshaw Day and a daughter, Meredith Day Clark.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy D. Baxter and a son, Frank R. Day III of Cumming, Ga.; a sister, Lucy D. Beale of Franklin; two brothers, Maxie R. Day of Franklin and J. Spurgeon Day of Warsaw, Va.; five grandchildren, Charles B. Hogan IV, Anita Dillard, Shannon Van Voorhies, Brad Day and Meredith Day; and two great-grandchildren, Charles B. Hogan V and Richard Dillard Jr., all of Cumming, Ga.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, with Dr. Roy DeBrand and Dr. Ira Hudgins officiating. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
