Area residents who have modems now can access the Norfolk Public Library's online catalog, featuring more than 900,000 items.
To access this service, modem users can dial 441-5290 between 8 a.m. and noon. Besides gaining access to the online category through a modem, patrons will be able to access general library information, such as the library news menu, policies, special events and hours of service.
To use this service, modem users should set up their communication software this way: Eight data bits, one stop bit, no parity, full duplex and emulate a VT 100 terminal.
