Earline Chalk Birge, 61, of the 3500 block of Byrn Brae Drive, a retired secretary, died Sept. 20, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Birge was born in Hertford, N.C. She was retired from the Gospel Assembly Ministers Fund after 20 years, and was a member of Tidewater Gospel Assembly, Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry P. Birge; a daughter, Sharon Henley, and two sons, Bruce Birge and Brian Birge, all of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Lloyd and James Chalk of Norfolk, and Clyde Chalk of Colerain, N.C.; and grandchildren, Jeremy Henley, Brandon Henley, Heather Birge, Courtney Birge and Tiffany Birge.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Tidewater Gospel Assembly, Norfolk, by the Rev. Thomas E. Lord. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at the residence at all other times. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Children's Fund at Tidewater Gospel Assembly, 5747 Sellger Drive, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
