Miss Ella Mae Gibb, 95, a native of Northampton County, Va., died Sept. 20, 1994, at The Hermitage in Onancock.
Miss Gibb was a retired Delaware high school teacher and an author. She was the daughter of John Edward and Alice Franklin Doughty Gibb. At the time of her death, she was a member of Johnsons United Methodist Church, the National Education Association, Delaware State Education Association, Delaware Retired Teachers Association and ARC-Eastern Shore.
She is survived by a brother, Harold P. Gibb Sr. of Edenton, N.C.; a sister, Pauline G. Bradshaw of Norfolk; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.
A graveside service will be held in Johnsons Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Brooke Willson and the Rev. Charles M. Johnson officiating. Please omit flowers. Friends may call at Fox & James Funeral Home, Eastville, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
