DISENFRANCHISE FEDER

Who is this guy Don Feder, who says, ``It's already far too easy to vote in this country'' (op-ed page column, Sept. 19)? His diatribes against President Clinton and anyone to the left of the far right are bad enough. Now he wants to take away voting rights from ``teens with their hair dyed blue, functional illiterates, punk-rock fans and street people.''

Well, excuse me! Maybe we should make tolerance and compassion a voting requirement and take away Feder's ballot.
