Police have charged a 14-year-old and are seeking two other suspects in connection with an armed robbery involving two couples in Colonial Williamsburg.
A Williamsburg couple and a couple from Sarasota, Fla., were confronted Tuesday night. Three males threatened to kill them, snatched a bracelet from a woman and fled, firing a shot as they ran.
It was the sixth such incident in the restored colonial capital since May. Colonial Williamsburg officials say they are trying to improve security.
Police would not reveal the teen's name because of his age. The teen was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm and having a concealed weapon, and is being held in juvenile detention, Maj. Mike Yost said.
