Edith Dillard Mahone, 89, of Roanoke, died Friday, Sept. 23, 1994, at Our Lady of the Valley.
She was the widow of Dabney Burton Mahone Sr. She was a retired nurse and a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Burt and Gerry Mahone of Roanoke; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and C.G. Miller of Virginia Beach; grandson, Eric Mahone of Roanoke; two brothers, Cornelous Dillard of Sunland, Calif., Edward Dillard of Massies Mills, Va.; and sister Naomi Bryant of Danville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Oakey's Funeral Home, South Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Esmont, Va., in Albemarle County at 3 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's South Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Virginia Library Association Scholarship Fund.
