Mary Carol Fitzsimmons Wood, 70, formerly of Virginia Beach, died Sept. 22, 1994, at her home.
She was predeceased by her son, William B. Wood Jr., and is survived by her husband, William B. Wood Sr.; her daughter, Joanne W. Falk and son, Laurence R. Wood. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at Oakey's Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, Roanoke, at 3 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Julie L. Hollingsworth presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roanoke Area Ministries, 824 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24016 or Good Samaritan Hospice, Inc., 3823 Electric Ave., Roanoke, Va., 24016.
