BOBBY J. JACKSON SR.

Bobby Joe Jackson Sr., 57, of the 3000 block of Dogwood Terrace, died Sept. 23, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Jackson was a native of Russell County, Va., and was a retired railroad conductor. He attended Fellowship Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and was a member of Washington-Lafayette Masonic Lodge; Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies; Khedive Shrine Temple; and was chairman of Untied Transportation Union (NU)854 for 12 years. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra R. Jackson; three sons, Bobby Joe Jackson Jr. and Samuel Paul Jackson, both of Portsmouth, and Kenneth Wayne Jackson of Chesapeake; and a grandchild.

A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
