Gladys Bradshaw Edwards, 81, of the first block of N. Court St., a homemaker, died Sept. 23, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Southampton County, Va. She was the daughter of the late Nancy Jane Edward Bradshaw and Percy Bradshaw and was the widow of Nathaniel Macon Edwards Jr. She was a member of Windsor Baptist Church, the L.T. Hall Bible Class and the Lucy Deans Circle. She was also a member of the Woman's Club of Windsor, Young at Heart Club and the Windsor Homemakers.
Survivors include two sons, James Earl Edwards of Raleigh, N.C., and N. Macon Edwards III of Windsor; a brother, James Percy Bradshaw of Franklin; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. James B. Crocker. Burial will be in Central Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight County, Va. The family will receive friends at the residence, 31 N. Court St., Windsor, and suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Mrs. J.L. Rose, 27882 Walters Highway, Walters, Va. 23481, or the charity of one's choice.
