ARSENIA S. JONES

Arsenia S. Jones of the 1100 block of Chapel St., a retired seafood processor, died Sept. 22, 1994.

She was born in Greenville, N.C., daughter of the late Britton and Emma Shields. She retired 34 years ago from J.H. Miles & Co. with 20 years of service. She was a member of Solid Rock Church of Christ Disciples and the Church Choir; Royal Degree Chambers United Order of Tents; Love and Trust Tents (NU)466; Elks B-1; Household of Ruth (NU)542; Queen Ester (NU)3 Order of Eastern Star; Heroine Jevicno; the Seven Wise Men; The Daughters of Norfolk B-1; the Clark Nurses Club; Salvation Army Home League; and Faith and Love Tent Cleo Hines.

Survivors include two sisters, Odessia Staton and Odell Hodnett, both of Norfolk; four nephews; and one niece.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Solid Rock Church of Christ Disciples by the Rev. Floyd Parker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 1110 Chapel St., Apt. 6, at noon for the processional to the church. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
