A fire in the 8900 block of Hampton Blvd. in Norfolk delayed traffic
for several hours Friday afternoon. The fire was started when a
welding torch, used by one of the workers demolishing an old
cork-products plant, ignited some dust, fire officials said. No one
was injured.
