MAE FAISON HIGH IN GAME AND SERIES

Mae Faison of The Vogue rolled a high game of 141 and a high series of 356 to lead the Suffolk Mixed Nuts bowling league activity last week.

Other 300 plus sets went to Lu Arnett, Arnette Properties, 344; Sue Forbes, Barton Ford, 327; Warren Faison, Cornett's Garage, 322; Bob Gardner, Barton Ford, and Miriam Pugh, Golden Corral, 318; Shirley Bradshaw, The Vogue, 315; Margaret Holland, Cornett's Garage, 311; Cully Arnette, Arnette Properties, 307; and Lydia Lofton, Golden Corral, 302.

Barton Ford and Cornett's Garage are tied for first with 4-0 records. Arnette Properties is next with a 3-1 record.

Golden Corral and The Vogue are even at 2-2, while Ferguson and Rawls have a 1-3 mark. JuWaco and Heilig-Meyers are both winless in four games.

Last year, the league was called the New Girls on the Block, but it became a mixed circuit and the name was changed, according to Terrye Bradshaw, the league's secretary.

FRANKLIN BOWL: Eric Crafton and Pat Edwards fired a 710 series to win the Scotch Doubles competition. Ed and Chris Bredon placed second with a 656 series.
