Ruth Wootten Bannister, a Norfolk native and long-time resident of Flagstaff, Ariz., died Sept. 20, 1994, in Flagstaff Medical Center.
Ms. Bannister attended Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and the Art Students League in New York. She was retired from the Naval Supply Center graphic arts department.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Wootten Carter of Norfolk; and a brother, Layne M. Wootten of Los Angeles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Flagstaff. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity or Northland Hospice, P.O. Box 997, Flagstaff, Ariz. 86002.
