Frank J. Cullen, 71, a retired procurement agent for the community colleges, died Sept. 22, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Cullen was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and was employed by the state of Virginia for 10 years. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a 1st sergeant after 24 years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and AARP and former member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge (NU)1172 in Madera, Pa.
Survivors include his wife, Edith ``Maxine'' Cullen; three sons, Frank D. Cullen and Michael J. Cullen, both of Virginia Beach and Mark E. Cullen of Chester, Va.; three sisters, Eleanor Calvert of Pocono Lake, Pa., Margaret Garrett of Fredericksburg, Va., and Lillian Cortese of Ocala, Fla.; and four granddaughters.
Burial will be private at a later date. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
