Earnest Providence, 77, of the 1100 block of Fayette St., died Sept. 22, 1994.
Mr. Providence was born in Portsmouth. He retired from the Naval Supply Center after 38 years, was a Baptist and the widower of Irma L. Providence.
Survivors include a daughter, Irene P. Providence; a son, Ernest Providence; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at St. John Baptist Church by the Rev. John E. Jones. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
