STICKING WITH ROBB

It is inconceivable to me that some patriots of the Old Dominion could ever consider voting for Oliver North, a present-day Elmer Gantry.

Charles Robb has been a good senator and was a good governor. His concerns for the poor and underprivileged, for education and for Virginia teachers were paramount issues of his governing years.

Mr. North is concerned for his own hide and pocketbook. He hates passage of the crime bill. Without weapons that kill, he would not become richer by selling bulletproof vests.

To what low levels are we sinking?
