George Calvert Sawyer, 76, of the 8000 block of East Glen Road, died Sept. 25, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Sawyer was born in Elizabeth City, N.C. He had retired with the Public Works Center with N.O.B. as a mechanic after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Albertson Sawyer of Norfolk; and a son, George Thomas Sawyer of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles Blalock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
