Mrs. Josephine Bunch Francis, age 71, of Route 3, Box 253, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1994, in the Chowan Hospital. A native of Hertford County, N.C., Mrs. Francis was a daughter of the late James Jethro and Addie Mary Brown Bunch. Mrs. Francis was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Francis is her husband, Robert McMullen Francis; four daughters, Joan F. Lane of Edenton, Peggy F. Hayes of Goose Creek, S.C., Kay F. Swift of Wilmington, N.C., and Debbie F. Sealy of Charlotte, N.C. There are three sons, Bobby Francis of Wingate, N.C., Edward D. Francis of Smithfield, Va., and Morgan Lynn Francis of Edenton. Mrs. Francis has 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. Bob Young. Burial will follow in the Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williford-Barham Funeral Home Monday from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
