John Thomas ``Tommy'' Askew Jr., 59, of Route 1, Box 142, died Sept. 24, 1994, in his home.
A native of Gates County, he was retired from Byrum Oil Co. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn White Askew; his mother, Grace Lilley Askew of Eure; one daughter, Stacey A. Piper of Gatesville; a son, Russell Thomas Askew of Eure; and three sisters, Alvah A. Felton of Gates, Yvonne Howell of Eure and Betty Duell of Battery Park, Va.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eure Christian Church by the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday night from 7 to 9 p.m. in Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, and all other times at the residence.
