Virginia Haywood Harrell Nave, 75, of Sunset Drive, died Monday, Sept. 26, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Nave was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Leo T. Haywood and Lillian Frost Haywood Nave. Mrs. Nave was the widow of Fred E. Nave. She was retired from the U.S. Civil Service after 32 years. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church. Mrs. Nave was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of American Legion Post (NU)327 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)3160.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Kathleen N. Dean and Mrs. Louise N. Royal, and several loving cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1994, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. Paul B. Watlington Jr. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1994, from 7 to 8 p.m. Following the funeral service, friends may join the family at 126 W. Belvedere Road, Norfolk.
