DAN RYAN: HE'S HAVING A HUGE PARTY

Dan Ryan is having a party this weekend. You're invited.

It's going to be big! He's got about 50 committee chairmen and 1,000 volunteers helping him with the planning.

He's thinking - if the weather's good - he'll have as many as 700,000 guests.

Ryan is chairman of the Neptune Festival. He jumped in full speed last year the day after the 1993 festival ended. It's been a busy year, but he'll have time for a breather Oct. 3 - the day after the 1994 festival ends. That's also the day Larry Sutton takes over as the 1995 festival chairman.

The hardest part of the year? Trying to work for a living and for the festival at the same time. The best part? The people and seeing it all come together, Ryan says.
