Helen Oliver Bridgford, 98, died Monday, Sept. 26, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was born in Aurora, Ill., and was a member of Church of the Ascension in Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Mitzi N. Van Horn and Sandra Diane Bridgford, both of Norfolk; a son, the Rev. Richard Oliver Bridgford of Norfolk; and a granddaughter, Virginia Lee Van Horn of Norfolk.
A private funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Church of the Ascension by Rev. Father Mark Delcuze. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tucker House Activities Fund, c/o Church of the Ascension, 405 Talbot Hall Road, Norfolk, Va. 23505, or to the Discretionary Fund of the Church.
