THOMAS S. JORDAN SR.

Thomas Swartz ``Lucky'' Jordan Sr., 69, of Baum Bay, Kill Devil Hills, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1994, at his residence.

Mr. Jordan, a native of Columbus County, N.C., was a retired general contractor and a member of Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was the son of the late Swartz and Cora Elizabeth Bright Jordan.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Margaret ``Peggy'' Bayne Jordan of the home; one daughter, Lynda J. Evans of Nags Head; one son, Thomas S. Jordan Jr. of Nags Head; one stepdaughter, Kathy Lilley of Greenville, N.C.; one stepson, Richard Dunnagan of Raleigh; two sisters, Thelma J. Cook of Liberty, N.C. and Marie J. DeRoco of Winthrop, Mass.; two brothers, Johnny Jordan of Jacksonville, N.C. and Fredrick Jordan of Nags Head; and five grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bill Presnell, the Rev. David Daniels and the Rev. Brad Bradshaw. Burial will follow in Austin Cemetery, Kitty Hawk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church Building Fund. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, is handling arrangements.
