Helen Sawyer Twiddy, 77, of the 3600 block of Buckingham St., a homemaker, died Sept. 26, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Twiddy was born in Henderson, N.C., and was the widow of Worth F. Twiddy. She was a member of Gateway Freewill Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and was a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas R. Twiddy of Virginia Beach and the Rev. Grover E. Twiddy of Kinston, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Gateway Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Dale Burden. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
