So, you think you know Norfolk.
You've seen everything from a thousand different angles and know all the little nooks and crannies.
It's all so old hat, you even think you could visualize sites with your eyes closed.
OK, just for kicks, The Compass is going to test your powers of observation.
Let's see how well you can identify the locations in these accompanying photographs.
If you win, we'll buy you dinner for two at a fine Norfolk restaurant. We'll also run your name and photo in The Compass.
Who will win?
Will it be a longtime resident who has studied the city from near and afar? Or will it be a new kid on the block, for whom Norfolk looks so bright and fresh? Or will it be someone with a great eye for detail.
Even if you can't identify all the locations, send your entry anyway. the winner will be the person with the most correct answers.
(In the event of a tie, The Compass editor will draw the winner from a hat.)
Send your entries to "Sights of the City," The Compass, P.O. Box 449, Norfolk, Va. 23501. Be sure to include your name, address and daytime phone number. Print legibly.
The deadline is Oct. 17. Good Luck! ILLUSTRATION: [Cover]
