Noah A. Keim, 81, of Aroda died Sept. 27, 1994, at the University of Virginia Hospital.
Mr. Keim was born Dec. 26, 1912, in Charm, Ohio. He was the son of the late Abraham Keim and Katie Yoder Keim Stutzman.
He was ordained as a minister in the Amish church at Piketon, Ohio, in 1952. He became one of the founding members of the Oak Grove Mennonite Church near Aroda in 1956. He served the congregation as bishop for nearly 30 years.
Mr. Keim was a self-employed farmer and house builder.
On Nov. 9, 1934, he married Sarah Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Edna Beiler of Hartville, Ohio, Savilla Keim of Aroda, Esther Keim of Harrisonburg and Martha Proffitt of Ruckersville; five sons, Albert Keim of Harrisonburg, Melvin Keim of Fort Defiance, Simon Keim of Virginia Beach, John Keim of Harrisonburg and Leroy Keim of Zanesville, Ohio.
Other survivors include 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Levi Keim of Hartville; a half-sister, Amanda Stutzman Miller of Utica, Ohio; and a stepsister, Verna Stutzman Wagler of Hartville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Oak Grove Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this evening at the church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Madison County Rescue Squad, Madison, Va. 22727.
