Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found Wednesday morning in his Reservoir Avenue home.
Police identified the victim as James A. Whitley, whose age was not available. Police said he appeared to be in his mid 20s.
Police spokesman Larry Hill said officers were sent to Whitley's blue two-story home in the 800 block of Reservoir Ave. shortly after 9:30 a.m. when neighbors reported gunshots.
Hill said police also are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened nearby just after the gunshots were reported. Hill did not know whether the events are related.
Hill said police have not determined a motive and there are no suspects.
