WEEKEND'S BOARDWALK EVENTS END CELEBRATION

The 21st annual Neptune Festival grand finale is the Boardwalk celebration today through Sunday. Events include fireworks Saturday night, an arts and crafts show, the sandcastle classic and musical offerings.

The grand parade is Sunday at 2 p.m.

Youth Day will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Boardwalk at the 15th Street Stage. On hand will be jugglers, musicians, clowns, puppets, dancers and an acting troupe. The day also includes a playground area on the beach with sandcastle building and face painting for ages 4 and under, a beach obstacle course, a slippery pole climb and other games.

Stage entertainment during the finale weekend at the 11th, 15th and 24th street stages includes groups such as Panic, Against All Odds, Rhythm Kings, Lewis McGehee, Vendetta, Sick Dogs, Sea of Souls, Blues Exchange, The R&B Allstars, Waterworks, On Edge, Blvd. 58, The Kingpins, On Beyond Zee, Shane's last Stand, Gentlemen and Their Lady, Bill Deal and Ammon Tharp, The Stingrays, Sounds of the Drifters, Slapwater, The Entertainers, Liberation and The Rhondels.

This year's Sandcastle Classic, as in the past, will require slow

and steady hands to perfect King Neptune's domain. The youth

competition is Saturday; businesses, organizations and masters go to

work on Sunday.
