Laura Mae Ladd Sparrow Love, 64, of the 3400 block of Verdun Ave., died Sept. 27, 1994, at her residence.
Mrs. Love was born in Oconee County, S.C., and was a retired cook. She was the daughter of the late James and Corrie Ladd and the widow of William Love.
Survivors include four sons, James Sparrow of Forrest City, N.C., Terry Sparrow of Philadelphia, Augustus Sparrow of Norfolk and Byron Sparrow of Chesapeake; four daughters, Juanita Tyler and Shelby Percy of Norfolk, Phyllis Sparrow of Chesapeake and Mona Sparrow of Philadelphia; one sister, Connie Burton of Philadelphia; and a special nephew whom she raised, Marvin Sparrow of Philadelphia; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Crestwood, by the Rev. Willie Samuels. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
