Ronald Benton ``R.B.'' McLaughlin, 54, of the 2700 block of Halsey St., died Sept. 29, 1994, in Chesapeake.
Mr. McLaughlin was born in Bridgeport, W.Va., and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. He was a retired Ford Motor Company employee and a member of the UAW Union (NU)919. He belonged to the Indian River Masonic Lodge (NU)252 and served as Master during 1985.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Turner McLaughlin; a daughter, Teresa McLaughlin Hobbs and fiance, Don Wittenberg; two sons, Ronald B. McLaughlin Jr., and wife, Lorie, and Anthony McLaughlin and wife, Stacy, all of Chesapeake; two sisters, Emma Forehand Carpenter of Bergton, Va. and Jennett Franklin of Rolla, Mo.; an identical twin, Donald B. McLaughlin Sr. of Chesapeake; one granddaughter, Melleny; and one grandson, Justin.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oman Funeral Home by the Rev. Houston Roberson and brother-in-law, the Rev. Julian Carpenter. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Masonic rites will be held at the grave. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Research Division of the American Cancer Society.
