JOSEPHINE D. LAVELLE

Josephine Dorothy Lavelle, 82, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday.

Mrs. Lavelle was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late William J. and Helen Lynsky Adrain and the widow of Thomas Francis Lavelle. She was also predeceased by her brother, George Adrain and her three sisters, Jeanette McGovern, Mary Galuppo and Lucile McGovern. Mrs. Lavelle was Roman Catholic.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Mary Lou Lynn of Corona Del Mar, Calif., Robert Galuppo of Orange, Calif., Elaine Danson of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., John Galuppo of Marina Del Rey, Calif., Geri Hill of Paso Robles, Calif., Marcia Sloan of Malibu, Calif., Cara Grimsley of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Terrence McGovern of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jane McCoy of Fort Worth, Texas, Aline Butler of San Francisco, Mary Jo Malloy of Chesapeake, Robert Lavelle of Virginia Beach, William Adrain of Tulsa, Okla., Michael Lavelle, Noreen Sauer, John Lavelle and Martin Lavelle, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also survived by her many grand-nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Parma, Ohio. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Zabor Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, is handling local arrangements.
