ARIS DAVIS

Aris Davis, 73, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1994, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mr. Davis was born in Greensboro, N.C. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter after 32 years, and had also worked for Norfolk State University and Old Dominion University. He was formerly a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Norfolk, Eureka Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a Disabled American Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Edith M. Davis; a sister, Ida Goodman of Atlanta; a brother, Vincent J. Davis Sr. of Burtonsville, Md.; nieces and nephews, including a nephew, LaMont Davis of Portsmouth and nieces, Kasean Davis of Virginia Beach, Regina G. Clark of Atlanta and Patricia A. Davis of Burtonsville; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. The family will assemble at 3732 Woodmere Drive, Portsmouth.
