An Oceanfront map with Thursday's MetroNews story about the Peppermint Beach Club had errors. The Avamere Hotel is north of the Halifax Hotel, and they're along the 2600 block of Atlantic Ave.

Plans for a theme park in Portsmouth include a replica of the wooden frigate Merrimack before it became an ironclad and was renamed the CSS Virginia. A story in Thursday's Daily Break erroneously referred to the Monitor.

CLARIFICATIONS

The New Jersey firm Kajima International Inc. will serve as a financial backer and development adviser for the MacArthur Center mall, but not as a general contractor. A headline on Thursday's BusinessNews story was misleading.

Virginia Beach bookstore owner Louis Krbec III decided to sell his three stores rather than close them after pleading guilty to possesion of obscene items. A MetroNews story Wednesday failed to note that he was given the option of closing them or selling them in his plea agreement. by CNB
