Two brothers and a third student face charges of carrying guns on school grounds. And it was the mother of two of the children who blew the whistle on them.
Police announced Wednesday that the students - ages 12, 13 and 16 - were charged.
The charges trace back to Sept. 22, when the mother found out a 12-year-old brought a pellet gun to school on a school bus and gave it to her 13-year-old son.
On Wednesday, the woman brought the gun to the school and gave it to the principal.
With that, the principal ordered the search of the locker of the woman's older son. A second pellet gun was found there.
In Norfolk, police charge that McCann is responsible for graffiti left Aug. 10 in the 2500 block of Colley Ave., the 1500 block of Core Ave. and the 200 block of East Little Creek Road.
