Horace E. Brown, 76, of the 1700 block of Lansing Ave., died Sept. 30, 1994 in Maryview Medical Center.
Mr. Brown was born in Nansemond County and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 31 years. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah E. Brown; a stepdaughter, Mae Frances Lamb; a son, Horace E. Brown Jr.; three brothers, Authur Brown, Wilson Brown and Oscar Brown; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Union Bethel Baptist Church, Jolliff, Chesapeake, by the Rev. J.L. Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
