Evva Jane Thomas McLennan, 93, died Thursday evening at Windermere at Virginia Beach.
Mrs. McLennan was the widow of Daniel C. McLennan. She was born on October 5, 1900 in Davidson County, N.C., daughter of Adolphus Sylvester Thomas and Eliza Jane C. Thomas.
Mrs. McLennan is survived by her daughter, Jane McLennan Purrington of Virginia Beach, Va., Two grandsons Charles M. Purrington Jr. of Durham, N.C. and Daniel M. Purrington of McLean, Va. as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McLennan received a Teaching Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was a member of the West Market Street United Methodist Church and was a resident of Greensboro, N.C. until 1984 when she moved to Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro, Sunday October 2, 1994 at 3 p.m. by the Rev: Earl Gibson. Arrangements are being handled by the Maestas Funeral Home Baltic Ave. Chapel and the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Service in Greensboro, N.C.
