Ruth Tyson Mitchell, 90, died Sept. 30, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Raleigh, N.C., and was the widow of Henry Mitchell. She was a retired cashier from Bell's Seafood Restaurant, Norfolk, and was a member of Portsmouth First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include a sister, Pauline T. Thomas of Chesapeake; three nieces; and two nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Nelson Fields. Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
