Ishmael Hardy Harlow, 85, of the Fox Hall section of Norfolk, died Sept. 29, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Harlow was born in Norfolk County, and retired in 1976 as a horologist after 30 years. He was the widower of Olivia Malmgren Harlow. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Norfolk; Naomi Masonic Lodge (NU)87; Norfolk Scottish Rite Bodies; Khedive Temple of the Shrine; Pythian, Charity Lodge (NU)10; Tidewater Watch Makers Guild and American Watch Makers Institute; and Lake Wright Golf Association. He was a volunteer at Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marna Malmgren Mayo and Leonard S. Mayo of Hampton; and four grandsons.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in First Lutheran Church of Norfolk by Dr. James G. Cobb. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, where Masonic rites will be accorded. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Crippled and Burned Children's Hospital, c/o Khedive Temple, 243 W. Freemason St., Norfolk, Va. 23501.
