WILLIE M. MURPHY

Willie Mae Murphy, 74, of the Georgian Manor section of Chesapeake, died Sept. 30, 1994, in Chesapeake.

Mrs. Murphy was born in South Norfolk, Va., and was the widow of Lt. Col. Clarence Murphy, USAF (Ret.). She was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, the Retired Officers' Wives Club and Daughters of the Confederacy.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria J. Cross of Chesapeake; a son, Maj. Alan S. Murphy, USMC of MCAS, El Toro, Calif.; a brother, Adrian L. Dailey of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren, Sally Anne Meekins of Chesapeake, Sara Lynn Murphy, Alison Kay Murphy and Alan Scott Murphy Jr., all of El Toro, Calif.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Laurel Avenue Church of Christ by the Rev. Rupert R. Wallace. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
