Leslie Thomas Cox, 72, died Sept. 29, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Cox was born in Sussex County, Va. He retired from the Naval Aviation Depot in Norfolk and was owner of Cox's Marina of Little Creek for over 25 years. He was a member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church, Asbury Class of the church and was formerly a member of the Church Administrative Board, Ushers Board and Fishermen's Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Rideout Cox; a daughter and son-in-law, Ginny and Mike Jacobs of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren, William Braun, Spring Jacobs and David Jacobs; three sisters, Blanche Grill of Erie, Mich., Myrtha Wray of Carson, Va., and Evelyn Madden of Merritt Island, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Miles Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Morris A. Bennett. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Miles United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice.
