5 TEENAGERS ARRESTED IN ROBBERY OF STUDENT AT TALLWOOD HIGH

Five teenagers have been arrested in the armed robbery of Tallwood High School student as he waited for a ride home, police said Friday.

The 16-year-old student, whom police did not identify, was standing on a sidewalk in front of the school's administration office just after 2 p.m. on Sept. 19 when four males approached him.

Three held him down; the fourth took his wallet, police spokesman Mike Carey said.

Carey said three of the assailants ran to a waiting car, driven by a young woman, and jumped in. The fourth robber also ran, and the victim chased him. One of the suspects pulled a .22 caliber handgun, pointed it at the student, and told him to leave.

An investigation by detectives Sam Thompson and Pat Tucker led to the arrests of three current or former Tallwood students, and two others.

Police identified the suspects as:

Rodney K. Frazier, 18, of the 2000 block of Arlington Arch Court, a former Tallwood student now attending the Adult Learning Center. He was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm during a felony, and possession of a firearm on school grounds. He is free on $15,000 bail.

Craig M. Johnson, 18, of the 900 block of Daniel Maloney Drive, a Tallwood student. He has been charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm on school property. He is free on bail.

Antone Corprew, 18, who police said is homeless. He has been charged with armed robbery and is being held without bail in the City Jail.

Autumn Cardoza, 18, of the 1900 block of Arlington Arch Drive, the alleged get-away driver. She has been charged with armed robbery and is free on $5,000 bail.
